ACUPUNCTURE
This ancient Chinese Science is used by almost one third of the world's population as a primary form of medical treatment. Acupuncture treatment is activated when needles of varying lengths stimulate a series of points on the body . The stimulation of these points activates the Acupuncture channels or the reticular formation and hypothalamus activating and balancing the body's organs, endocrine and immune systems. Treatment consists of the insertion of very fine disposable needles into the skin. These needles are then left in place for 15 to 20 minutes. Acupuncture excels in the treatment of Stress and related illnesses, Dysfunction of various organ systems, Musculo-Skeletal Disorders, Pain Relief and Sports Injuries. One of the pleasant side effects of Acupuncture is its ability to induce deep relaxation while undergoing treatment.

HOMEOPATHY
Homeopathy is a system of medicine not unlike Herbal Medicine. It is based on the use of minute highly diluted doses of plant, mineral and chemical substances that are used to treat the patient's symptoms. Homeopathy is based on the law "that which can cause disease in a large dose will cure it in a minute dilution." Homeopathy has been practiced for over 150 years. Homeopathic hospitals and outpatient clinics are part of the National Health System in England. Homeopathy is particularly appropriate for the treatment of children's illnesses, acute disorders and constitutional conditions. Homeopathic medicines are tasteless and very easy to ingest.

MASSAGE / SOFT TISSUE MANIPULATION
Massage is the practice of stimulating muscle, tendon and ligament tissue to relieve tension, stimulate healing and cause relaxation. Massage is used in this clinic as treatment on its own and also as an adjunct to Acupuncture in the treatment of all muscular skeletal problems, sports injuries, back, neck and arthritic pain. Various techniques of deep tissue stretching and soft tissue manipulation are used to restore normal function of joints and ligaments. The relaxing effect of massage is a significant factor.

In Traditional Chinese and Naturopathic Medicine, a clear and detailed understanding of food and its ability to treat illness is an important section of practice.
